Chris Carpenter
To put food on the table I am a senior project administrator for a biotech company on the Northwest side. The people who know me best would say that I am devoted to serving them without hesitation. They would also say that I tend to have a strange way with words. Many people don't know that I am a fly fisherman and tie my own flies. Most folks also don’t know that I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator (W9BSH), registered storm chaser and EMA volunteer for Hamilton County. My circle of friends has heard me play the accordion; I don't share that with just anyone. Time is a struggle for most folks. God has blessed me with a capacity and perspective to thoughtfully enjoy most of the moments that pass folks by on a given day. I enjoy being a tired daddy, a stretched shepherd and a husband that misses his wife when he's at work. I experience pure joy when I worship God with others and can emotionally connect to and physically absorb what is otherwise, often mostly a mental pursuit. Brief overview – Chris went to Wabash College, then on to seminary at Butler. In 2000, Erin and he were married and they have one daughter, Annabelle, who was born in December of 2005. They work together in the nursery, enjoy shepherding multiple house churches on the Northeast side, and they have been with CGCC since 2000; shortly after their marriage. Chris, Erin and Annabelle live in Carmel. |
