Who Are the Elders and What is Their Role?

"Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood." Acts 20:28

Caring for people is the responsibility of the elders. Common Ground Christian Church has a group of men that are passionate about caring for the community of believers that are part of this local church. Each elder is responsible for providing care and oversight for 2-3 house churches. They provide encouragement, guidance, teaching, and prayer support for the leadership and attenders.
