Photos from New Orleans
In January, the pilgrims from the Kingdom Living Training School spent a week working in New Orleans. They visited a variety of areas in the city, made new friends, and helped to begin restoration in an area neighborhood. From cleaning the gutter to praying in the streets, they worked to make an impact in a short amount of time. Below are some pictures from the trip. To learn more about the Training School, visit the website or email Larry at larry@cground.org.

Do you own an iPod or MP3 player?
Have you ever missed a Sunday worship service, only to forget to download and listen to the audio before house church? If you’ve got an MP3 player, things have become a little easier. You can now subscribe to a podcast of our sermon series on our website and have the sermons automatically downloaded. To subscribe, simply click here.

If you’re a fan of all things audio and technical, consider joining our audio or video tech teams. No experience is necessary and training is provided. Email Zach at zach@cground.org to learn more.

Is your house church feeling missional?
With the beginning of each new year comes the opportunity for house churches to plan and schedule some of their precious time together. Some house churches set aside specific weekends or days to explore the world of missions - reaching out and leaving an impression with their hands and words on those they serve in the name of Jesus. They share themselves and the Gospel with those in need.

We encourage our house churches to be missional in part by giving each of them a missions budget. Funds can be used for missions related expenses such as transportation and lodging. Is your house church planning a weekend trip or a day working in the inner city? Is someone in your house church planning to participate in a 2008 vision trip and need assistance with funding?

House church missions funds are now available for 2008. Please download the House Church Mission Money Request Form and contact Nate at nate@cground.org if you have any questions.

Children's Choir
Common Ground Children’s Choir will be starting up again on February 17! We will be preparing to lead 2 songs for worship on March 16, Palm Sunday, for both the 9 am and 11 am services at Midtown and the 10 am service at CGCC-West. Worship rehearsal will occur while your child is in our children's ministry each Sunday from February 17 until March 16. Additional information will be available in your child's classroom on the first Sunday in March.

If you have any questions about children's choir, please feel free to contact Carter Shepherd at e.carter.shepherd@gmail.com.

Blood drive update – it’s not too late to volunteer
Sign-ups to donate blood at the St. Thomas Aquinas/Common Ground Blood Drive on Sunday March 2 have been outstanding! So far, more than 130 people have made appointments to donate. Time slots are filling up fast (especially around service times), so please be sure to make your appointment this Sunday. Sign-up forms will be available in the Welcome Center at Midtown and at the Information Table at CGCC-West.

While appointments are going fast for blood donations, we are still in need of several volunteers to work with St. Thomas to set up their gym on Saturday night at 6 pm and to work in the areas of childcare, sign-up, serving and cleanup the day of the event. This is a great service opportunity for house churches or individuals from both our Midtown and West sites.

To volunteer for the event, please email Marissa with your area of interest and availability (help is needed Saturday at 6 pm and Sunday from 8 am until 1 pm). All volunteer emails will be returned after Monday, February 25 so that volunteers can be organized and assigned.

St. Thomas is located across the street from our new Midtown building at 4625 N. Kenwood Avenue, 46208. If you have questions, please contact Marissa at marissa@cground.org.
