Women's Retreat - audio available
On April 11-12, sixty-five Common Ground women gathered at Camp Allendale for a Women's Retreat. The weekend was designed to give participants time to meet new women and deepen relationships. There was also time to worship, journal and learn more about the story God is writing with our lives as women.

The retreat’s content was based on four talks given by Christin Nevins. She spoke on the topics of Journey, Identity, Passion and Purpose. The vision of the planning team is to help women continue to connect to God and one another through meaningful relationships and spiritual equipping in a variety of settings. If you were unable to attend the retreat, you are encouraged to download the audio from the talks to share with the women in your life – including those in your family and house church. The audio is available on our website.

Additional resources (such as book studies) for women will be available soon. Please check our website and the e-news for announcements in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please enjoy a few pictures from the retreat.

Flagstaff Information Meeting - Sunday
Flagstaff, Arizona is a beautiful city sitting at the base of the San Francisco Peeks. It is a city with endless amounts of activity at your fingertips. It is a city where creation cries out with pine trees rising tall from the soil and mountains shooting out of the earth. It is a city where spirituality is at the top of everyone’s list, but it is spirituality void of the Spirit of God.

In the fall of 2006, several Common Grounders were called to this city to plant a church - The Refuge. Each year we take a team of people out to partner with The Refuge for a weeklong immersion. This year we will work to repair sections of the Indian Bible College, a small college that trains and equips Native Americans, in downtown Flagstaff. We will also spend time interacting with local residents.

Would you like to join us June 21-28? The cost is $400 per person, with a limit of 15 participants. The application and deposit deadline is May 11. For more information, please join us for a meeting this Sunday, April 27 after the 11 am service at our Midtown location. Questions? Contact Bill at bill@cground.org. To learn more about The Refuge, visit their website.

Children's Ministry volunteer update
Thank you for your response to our recent requests for additional children’s ministry volunteers. In the month of April, 17 people expressed interest in serving and 11 of them have followed up with a completed volunteer application. Many of them have already been trained and will begin serving in the month of May!

While we appreciate the response, we want to let you know that we still have a need for even more volunteers. In order for our children’s ministry to function as designed, we need 108 teachers to commit to teaching two months a year. Even with all of our new volunteers, we are currently operating with less than 100. As such, we are still in need of teachers at both locations, specifically:

Midtown
• 1 Nursery Teacher
• 3 Toddler Teachers
• 2 Preschool Teachers
• 4 K – 1st Grade Teachers
• 2 2nd-4th Grade Teachers
• 1 5th-6th Grade Teacher

CGCC-West
• 1 Nursery Teacher
• 3 Preschool Teachers
• 2 K- 1st Grade Teachers
• 1 2nd-4th Grade Teachers
• 2 5th -6th Grade Teachers

If you are interested in helping fill this need, please take a few moments to click this link for access to the children’s ministry volunteer application. Please return the completed application to Martina at martina@cground.org or the church office (you can drop it off or fax it to 317.251.1498). Once your application has been processed, we’ll be in touch with you to schedule training.

If you have any questions about the children’s ministry, please contact Martina at martina@cground.org.
