End of year giving
Any tithes or offerings you would like included on your 2008 giving statement must be postmarked by December 31. Contributions postmarked after December 31 will be considered a 2009 donation. The church office mailing address is 4550 N. Illinois St., 46208.

Contribution letters will be mailed after the new year. If you've moved this year, don't forget to update your address with the church office. Please include both your old and new address in your email.

Children's ministry changes
The children’s ministry at CGCC-West will be making changes to the way we minister to children age
1 – Kindergarten in the coming months. If you are interested in finding out more about these changes, please join us at 8:30 am on Sunday, January 11 in the Art room. Questions? Please contact Martina.

There's still time to Redistribute
We live in a world today where there is enough. Enough clothes, medicine, food, clean water and hope. Hope is a word that implies things will be better tomorrow than they were today, and the reality is that for the majority of the world, tomorrow will not be any better than today.

We want to invite you to join us on this journey of redistribution. Redistribution is the opportunity to not add to your budget or expenses, but rather to reassign your resources. God is freeing the world from consumerism and poverty at the same time. Let us participate in that freedom that Christ desires to bring.

Interested in learning more? Please download our Redistribute catalog. Donation envelopes are available in the Information Center at Midtown or the Information Table at CGCC-West. Donations for our Redistribute partners will be accepted through Sunday, January 18.

Please watch the driveways
We continue to receive complaints from our neighbors regarding blocked driveways at our Midtown location (4550 N. Illinois Street). Please help us be good neighbors by always erring on the side of caution when parking. This may mean parking further away and walking to avoid potential problems, and we appreciate your willingness to put our neighbors first even during inclement weather.

Quick Updates
Free Christmas Music
Listen to Common Ground arrangements of classic Christmas songs here. From rocking out to Angels We Have Heard On High to the gentle ballad Away in a Manger, we hope you enjoy this collection of live recordings from December 2005 services.

Holiday Office Hours
The church office will close for the Christmas holiday at the end of the day on Tuesday, December 23 and will reopen on Monday, January 5. Volunteers scheduled to serve during that period, such as teachers, should plan ahead to ensure they have the materials they may need while the office is closed. House churches scheduled to clean should contact the office prior to the end of day on Tuesday, December 23 for their alarm codes and combination to the lock box if they do not already have that information. Have questions about building access during the holidays? Please contact the church office.

No Evening Service on Sunday, December 28
Please note that there will not be a 7 pm service at our Midtown location on Sunday, December 28.

Adopt a Family
Interested in helping a local family this holiday season? Letters from families requesting Christmas assistance will be available in the Information Center at Midtown and at the Information Table at CGCC-West on Sunday.

Calling all Middle School Children
If you are a parent of a middle school child, we want to know who you are. Please contact Chris Sprinkle via email or at 696-3885.

Snow Cancellations
If we experience snow on a weekend, you can check the following for service cancellations: www.cground.org,  RTV6, Fox 59, CW4 and the office phone (317.251.1494).

Teachers Needed for 2009
We have prepared our teaching schedules for 2009 and are nearly 20 teachers short for the year. Each volunteer is only asked to commit to teaching 2 months – that’s only 8-10 days for the entire year! Ready to help? Just click this link for access to the children’s ministry volunteer application. Please return the completed application to the church office (you can drop it off or fax it to 317.251.1498). Once your application has been processed, we’ll be in touch with you to schedule training. If you have any questions about the children’s ministry, please contact Martina.

Service Opportunity at Midtown
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is looking for childcare providers for their spring session. We welcome men, women, young and old to join us in the celebration of guiding our children. Meetings are the first & third Friday mornings, January through May. Please contact Carey Siegler to discuss details, schedule and needs.
