GRACE (God's Real Acceptance Compassion and Encouragement) is a Bible study that is used as a tool for women who have experienced abortion and want to repair their relationships with God. It is for women who have experienced some degree of remorse or regret and who want to turn from their own ways and learn God's way of love and forgiveness.
GRACE finds its scriptural basis in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4: What a wonderful God we have - He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the One who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials. And why does He do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us.
For women who have experienced abortion, it is often something that they have kept a secret for a long time. Please pray that they will be released from this bondage and will begin to walk in freedom, knowing that they are forgiven and that the Lord loves them. If you, or someone you know, would benefit from the GRACE study, please contact Jennifer Thompson.
As more women come forward and talk about the realities of abortion, the more that we can share with women who are in crisis pregnancy situations and possibly help them to not make the same decision. Please pray for the women who are currently in crisis pregnancy situations, that they will choose life.

The mission of Life Centers (formerly Central Indiana Crisis Pregnancy Center) is to affirm the value of life by providing a network of care to those experiencing pregnancy-related crisis and by compassionately presenting Biblical truth resulting in changed lives to the glory of God. Earlier this summer, The Salvation Army and Response Church (one of Common Ground’s church plants) hosted the first annual “A Night in Our City,” an event in downtown Indy to benefit women and children affected by domestic violence. CGCC donated funds to support this event because we believe in the good work that is happening through these organizations.
In June, The Salvation Army served 152 women and children in its downtown shelter, and 126 were seeking shelter due to domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, isolation and forced prostitution. In the first quarter of this year, 428 women and 223 children came to The Salvation Army seeking safety and shelter. Last year, the Salvation Army served 1,785 homeless and abused women and children, and served an average of 6,500 meals per month.
