Uganda information meeting – April 10
The journey towards Uganda continues for Steve and Bridget Hurry and Common Ground. The seed that birthed out of a house church retreat in 2009 has continued to grow. The sending logistics and tentative timeline for a Uganda launch have been confirmed. In order to embrace this calling, the Hurrys are preparing to move to Uganda in 2013 and desire to move there alongside a multi-gifted team.

If you are interested in exploring the option of joining Common Ground and the Hurrys in 2013 or just want to learn more about what God is up to in Uganda, we invite you join us at an information meeting April 10 at our Midtown location (4550 N. Illinois Street), immediately after the 11 am worship gathering in the Conference Room. The meeting will last approximately one hour and childcare is available. Lunch will not be provided, but feel free to bring food if desired.

If you plan to attend, please register here. The deadline to request childcare is April 3. If you are unable to attend but are interested in learning more, send us an email.

The activity will take place at both sites after the morning worship gatherings (Midtown at 12:30 pm and the CGCC-West at 11:30 am). Lunch and materials will be provided for a $10 fee that will be collected at the event. To register, click here. Registration deadline is Wednesday, April 13. For more information, email Jim.

We are growing and we need you!
Have you noticed all of the new additions to our family? Aren’t they cute?

We want our babies and their families to know that God’s community of people is a safe and good place for them to be. One way that we can do this is by providing consistent and loving caregivers in our Nursery each Sunday. Please consider helping us do this by joining the Nursery teaching team. Additional information and volunteer applications are available online. If you have questions, please contact Martina.

Cambodia Vision Trip – July 1-15
July 1-15, a team will travel to Cambodia to experience both the beauty and pain of a nation whose population is less than 2% Christian. The trip will focus on understanding the current spiritual and social challenges in Cambodia, particularly related to human trafficking. The team will visit a recovery home for rescued children, a Culinary Training Center and the Daughters Home - three projects seeking to break the cycle of poverty and trafficking by providing women with a means to earn an income. Practically, the team will be participating in a hands-on project with one of these organizations.

The trip is full, but please join in prayer and encouragement for the team. For more information, visit the Cambodia Vision Trip page. If you have questions, send us an email.
