Jireh Sports (which has merged with Shepherd Community Center) is a Christian after-school program that utilizes the tool of non-traditional sports to develop mentoring and discipling relationships with urban youth. Their mission is to introduce children to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, disciple them in their knowledge of God, help them establish a relationship with a local church, and develop in them the skills needed to break the cycle of poverty. Programs include gymnastics, wrestling, rock climbing, tae kwon do, boxing, chess, dance and tutoring.
