Children’s Ministry The children’s ministry at Common Ground is powered by volunteers. We have a wide variety of opportunities designed to fit the needs and desires of our volunteers, as well as our ministry. Please see below for additional information about the available opportunities. Please note that all positions within the children’s ministry require a volunteer application, criminal history and sex offender check. Several volunteer positions are available including Teachers, Substitutes, Teaching Assistants, Floaters, and Coordinators. Hospitality Ministry The objective for the team is to provide a hospitable and welcoming environment for those attending worship gatherings and events at Common Ground. To a large degree, this team serves as the face of Common Ground and works to ensure all feel "at home" in our gatherings. Worship Team Ministry We're called to be worshippers of God - a small piece of worship being our singing at corporate worship events. Our worship team consists of those who sing, play instruments, run the sound board, and oversee lighting and visual tech responsibilities. Vision Team Ministry The vision team exists to educate, empower, encourage and mobilize resources (people and financial), in partnership with indigenous churches around the world. Functions of the team include ensuring partner care, education & communication, and planning & managing vision trips. Contact for more information about how you can be involved with the Vision Team.
Counting Team Ministry Each week we worship together corporately we are provided with the opportunity to demonstrate the Lordship of Jesus through giving. It is important that we process the offerings in a manner that ensures integrity. The counting team ensures that offerings are collected, counted, and initial preparations for deposit are made. Prayer Team The Common Ground prayer team meets with an understanding that it is vital for the Church to deeply rely on and be connected to God through prayer and intercession. We believe that prayer is how God's people call upon Him to accomplish the work of His kingdom and how we actively demonstrate our utter dependence on Him, honoring Him as the source of His Kingdom advancing. The prayer team meets at our Midtown location bi-weekly to interceed for our elders, staff, leadership, mission partners, house churches, ministries, congregation and city. We also spend time in prayer over any requests that have been placed in the offering box or sent via email each week.
