PURPOSE: Partner with ServLife International in Nepal to provide encouragement
while serving in an orphanage and working alongside the indigenous
church.
Experiences include:
- Seeing and experiencing the body of Christ through a different cultural perspective through: worshiping, praying, and spending time with indigenous leaders and church planters from Nepal and getting a glimpse of what that looks like cross culturally (Acts 1:8)
- Caring for, spending time, and participating in activities/games with the orphans in the children’s home (James 1:27)
- Visiting ServLife's leadership training school in Kathmandu and spending time with the school's director and current class of indigenous leaders being trained.
- Praying for ServLife and the work being done there in Kathmandu,
and throughout Nepal, including: prayer walking through the city,
intentional intercessary prayer times during the week for ServLife
staff in Nepal and their family, and
praying for the various ministries there.
- Encouraging ServLife staff and believers that team will encounter at the leadership training center and children's home.
- Assisting ServLife in capturing media including video and images.
- Tour Pashupati temple.
- Participate in various local prayer groups throughout the week.
- Visit leprosy hospital
- Tour Beauty for Ashes, business started that employs former victims of sexual exploitation.
WHERE: Kathmandu, Nepal
WHEN: July 10-20 (Application/Deposit deadline: May 24)
WHAT IS THE COST: The estimated cost of the trip is $2800. Don't let finances keep you from applying or pursuing the trip opportunity. House Church funds are available for visions trips, and the request form can be accessed here. Suggestions for raising support are also included with the application form.
