The Pour House - Indianapolis

The PourHouse is an outreach and advocacy that desires to see restoration of those who are homeless to a place of dignity and wholeness of person. They embrace a relationship-based philosophy because they believe that consistent friendship and a sense of community yields lasting change. They ask those that they serve what their desires and goals are and how they can help them take the next step toward achieving them. They distribute clothing, food, blankets, hygiene products and related goods on a daily basis. They also carve out intentional time with individuals and smaller groups. By spending larger amounts of time with smaller amounts of people, their relationships with those experiencing homelessness are very strong and have resulted in a sense of community. This sense of community creates a greater bond of trust, an environment for openness and honesty, and a framework for long-term success.
