Todd Strader

To put food on the table I work in environmental contracting. No, I'm not an environmentalist. I don't save the rain forests. But, I don't bulldoze them either. I just clean up messes.

The people who know me best say that I rarely get too upset or excited (which can make me boring).

Many people don't know that I felt completely inept when it came to dating. The first person I dated seriously has been my wife since 1988.

My favorite way to unwind is to pick up a fishing rod and find some water. If I can't go fishing I go to the basement and tie flies.

I experience pure joy when I come home from a long day and our youngest daughter runs to the door yelling "Daddy's home. Daddy's home". Going on vacation with my wife without children is a close second. There is some strange irony there.

Brief overview: Todd and Diane have four children - Katy, Michael, Matthew and Muriel and live on the northwest side of Indianapolis. Their older children attend the International School of Indiana. Diane is a registered nurse and full-time mom. The Straders enjoy short term medical /construction missions where each can use their talents for others. Diane grew up in Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio. Todd is from rural Putnam County (there is no "urban" Putnam County). They met on a mission trip in Kenya while both were attending DePauw University. The Straders were members of Traders Point Christian Church before joining CGCC.
