The Midtown Youth Ministry (6-12th grade) gathers at our Midtown location (4550 N. Illinois Street) twice a month on Sunday evenings from 5 pm to 6:30 pm in the Community Room. Our evenings typically include fellowship, a group teaching, reflection, prayer or worship and then small group time led by our dedicated adult youth mentors.
RESPOND RETREAT, April 20-22, 2018
When we encounter God’s love for us, we RESPOND by joining Him in bringing restoration to the world “through sacrificial love.” Springtime in youth ministry is all about Responding to God and His grace in our life. This response often shows up most profoundly in our relationships. The model we find in Father, Son and Spirit is an example of servanthood. And when Jesus models for us how to live and love well, He said, “The Son of Man came to serve.” Our focus for the Retreat will be on serving others.
The RESPOND spring retreat is for youth in grades 6-12, and will take place Friday, April 20 - Sunday, April 22 at the Str8 Up Ministries Camp just outside Indianapolis.
Register here by April 15. Registration fee is $45.
PILGRIMAGE: A Midtown Youth Excursion, July 13-19, 2018
The wilderness is a place we can go to be challenged and renewed. Being outdoors is important in our life with God, and the wilderness, specifically, is foundational to our transformation. Amid the calling of the loons, sitting by a campfire, or paddling past a bull moose, we can come alive to what it means to be a child of God.
The Pilgrimage Youth Retreat is for youth entering grades 8-12 and their families, and will take place Friday, July 13 - Thursday, July 19 in the Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario Canada.
Attendees must participate in two mandatory orientation sessions. Register by May 1 for a $35 discount. Scholarships and rental equipment are available.
Click here to register by June 10. Full registration fee is $285 per person.
