Confronting the Strongholds that Corrupt Our Faith

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” - John‬ ‭10‬:‭10‬

The invitation to follow Jesus is an invitation to an abundant life. Jesus is also aware that there is an enemy that is trying to destroy the good gifts that God has for us. This enemy manifests its attack in many ways and one of the ways is by convincing us to trade the truth of God’s goodness for a lie. Pastor and professor Dr. Frank Thomas said, “A stronghold is a lie that gets protected.”

Over three weeks in November, we'll explore some of the cultural strongholds that affect us all. These strongholds are lies and the enemy robs us of the abundance of life in Jesus when we trade the truth of God’s will for these lies. The good news of the Gospel is that we can expose the darkness of the enemy with the light of God’s truth and experience a life that is truly worth living.
