A Vision Trip like no other. Every summer hundreds of teen moms head to Young Life camp to hear the Gospel in a relatable and impactful way. To make it all possible, volunteers from around the country spend a week caring for the children of the teen moms. Common Ground has 5 spots available for a team heading to Timber Wolf Lake in Michigan, July 16-21. Cost is $514 plus travel.

Justice and Reconciliation Forum: 13th

Please join us on February 4 from 9 am to 12:30 pm for a showing of the documentary 13th. This documentary, from the director of the movie Selma, focuses on the influence and impact of race in the criminal justice system in America. The movie asserts a direct connection and correlation between the passing of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution, Jim Crow laws in the American South and the phenomenon of present-day mass incarceration. The movie will be followed by a time of large and small group discussion.

This event is free and childcare is available if you register by Thursday, January 26. General registration closes Monday, January 30. Please click here to register.

staff update: tim dooley

We are pleased to announce that Tim Dooley has joined the Common Ground staff as our executive pastor. Tim is replacing Nate Smith, who served us faithfully in that role for almost 10 years. Tim joined us as interim executive pastor in November, and assumed the executive pastor position at the beginning of this year. Tim will oversee the administration of the church and help to provide spiritual and professional development for the church staff.

Tim and his wife Christina have been a part of our body since 1998 and Tim has served as an elder for the last 15 years. They have three children: Caleb (13), Tyler (10) and AJ (6) and live on the north side of Indianapolis. Tim spent 17 years working for Republic Airways, a regional airline headquartered here in Indianapolis and served as its chief financial officer before retiring at the end of 2015.
