Aziel Nunez
Associate Pastor of Youth Ministry and Student Discipleship
Aziel joined the Common Ground Midtown pastoral staff in 2026 as associate pastor of youth and student discipleship after more than a decade in parish ministry. He is passionate about walking alongside young people as they ask honest questions, grow in their faith, and discover how their stories are part of God’s larger story.
Aziel and his wife, Mirna, recently moved into the neighborhood with their daughters, Chloe and Sofia. He enjoys reading, especially about first-century Judaism and the world of Jesus, building LEGO sets, and spending time with his family. Since they live near the church, you may see Aziel and his family riding their bikes in the evenings—or Aziel racing his daughters across the church parking lot.
